April 2 is celebrating as "Autism Awareness Day" all over the world.
On this occasion, in Deniz Mall, together with the Orvita psychological rehabilitation center, was held an event under the slogan "Autism is not a disease, but a difference".
The main purpose of the event was to draw attention to individuals with autism syndrome, to create awareness in society that autism is not a disease.
At the event, experts in this field spoke and gave detailed information to people, as well as organized art therapy for autistic children, presented balloons and gifts to the children.
Note that Autism syndrome was first defined by psychologist Leo Kanner in 1943. According to the conducted studies, about 1 percent of the world's population, or about 70 million people, suffer from autism, and this number is accompanied by an increase over time.
